The Mission’s financial supporters and volunteers, Partners in Ministry, have consistently given their time, talents and financial resources over the years to make the Mission ministries the effective outreach they are today. The Mission Partnership Program is the Mission’s way of acknowledging and thanking its Partners in Ministry for making this happen, encouraging them to continue and encouraging others to become partners. The following designations are used for this purpose:

 FINANCIAL PARTNERS

Sharing Partners           Faith Partners

$85.00 - $999.99       $1,000 - $4,999.99

          Hope Partners                  Charity Partners

        $5,000.00 - $9,999.99      $10,000 - $99,999.99

                          Vision Partners

                             $500,000+

The above Partners will be recognized annually in the Mission's Annual report, which will cover the prior year's gifts.

       Heritage Partners                 Grace Partners

$100,000.00 - $249,999.99     $250,000 - $499,999.99

Heritage and Grace Partner's gifts are cumulative.  When the total given reaches or exceeds $100,000.00, whether given in one year or over a number of years, the donor will be recognized with a plaque that will be displayed in the Mission Youth Center.  the beginning point in determining these gifts is January 1995 to coincide withthe year the Mission Youth Center Campaign gegan, and the partners will be recognized in the Annual Report for the year in which they reach one of these levels of giving.

Legacy Partners

These are donors who have made arrangements for Deferred Gifts (auch as wills, charitable trusts, annuities and life insurance policies).  Legacy Partners will be recognized in the Annual Report each year.

IN-KIND PARTNERS

Many people, businesses, and other groups donate food, clothing, furniture, and other items to the Mission to use in its ministries.  Because of the extremely large number of such donations, it is impossible to recognize each donor.  There may, however, be donors whose in-kind gifts in any year are so large or represent such a special commitment that they warrant recognition, which will be given in the Annual Report.

VOLUNTEER PARTNERS

Many individuals and groups give volunteer hours to help with youth services (youth camp & MYC Club), family help (Community Cafe & clothing stores), office support, and in other ways.  Because of the scope of volunteer activities, it would be impossible to have qa record of everyone who volunteered.  We will be able to recognize in the annual report those volunteers who made a special commitment of their time.

Thank You

We recognize that the Mission is what it is today because of Partners in Ministry.  We hope that you will accept our offer to thank you in this way.  We hope that you will see this as a way to let others know that you are reaching out to those who are in need in our community.  We hope that you will see this as a way to encourage others to reach out also.

If, however, you wish to remain anonymous, please let us know and we will not publish your name as a Partner in Ministry.

A NEW CHAPTER

The Mission founders in 1961 had a vision for a Christian-based non-profit organization to help people in need and to share the love of Christ with them. Their hope was that those who were not in a church would find one in which to worship. The ministry programs that have developed over the years from this vision provide help to people of all ages. They are designed to help meet immediate needs as well as to help people, especially at-risk children, redirect their lives.

I was fortunate to be in one of the families that shared this vision and who, along with others, helped start the Mission. I had the opportunity to be involved in a small way in the ministry the summer of 1961 prior to its official beginning in October of that year. I did not become actively involved again until the mid 1980’s when I joined the Board of Directors, and I served in that capacity until August of 1996. I then joined the staff as Director of Development, where I served through last year.

I wanted to let you know that I retired at the end of last year and began a new chapter in my work with the Mission. I am continuing primarily in an advisory capacity on a part-time basis this year and will maintain an office at the Mission. I am working with employees who are assuming responsibilities I had.

The vision I referred to above continues and, I believe, always will guide the Mission ministries. I am very grateful for the few people in the beginning, the many today, and all those along the way who have made it all possible.

It takes a host of people who use the gifts that God has given them to make the vision reality. It takes a committed and involved Board of Directors. It takes a dedicated staff who work tirelessly and who focus on what they can give to help those whom the Mission serves. It takes many, many donors and volunteers. It takes you.

Donna and I are, without question, blessed to be a part of what so many people are allowing God to accomplish through their commitments. This blessing has been passed to our children and their families who are so supportive. This “new chapter” is only in my formal relationship with the Mission and not in my commitment to its ministries. I hope to be actively involved as long as I can.

Thank you for all the support and encouragement which has made it possible to have this opportunity. Thank you for your prayers, your time and talents, and your financial resources.

Together we are making a difference.

Report to Partners in Ministry

As reported to you in our last Mission Informer, 2009 was a challenging year in meeting needs.  With your help, we were able to respond to the ever-growing needs in our community and actually increase our help over and above the amount we originally budgeted. Your giving at year-end exceeded last year, which was a blessing to those whom the Mission serves.

Thank you for responding in such a positive way.  Thank you for giving so generously in these uncertain times.  You continue to help make a difference in the lives of people of all ages who are in need.

We look forward to another year of service in this our 49th year.  Will you continue to remember us as you give in 2010?  We will continue our commitment to you to be good stewards of your gifts and to help as many people as we can while sharing the love of Christ with those who come for help.

                                                                        Thank you again,
